Ellen Higgins
Ms. Higgins is a founding member and President of the Heskin
Group and provides managing oversight to Heskin’s sales
advisory, asset management, due diligence, valuation and consulting
work for federal and state government entities. Ms.
Higgins also manages Heskin’s investment operations,
investment partnerships and joint ventures in conjunction
with her investment partners in the New York office.
Prior to her formation of the Heskin Group in 1983, Ms. Higgins
served as general legal counsel and, later, as president of
the syndication, financing, construction and real estate development
subsidiaries of the Wilder Foundation, then one of the ten
largest operating foundations in the country. Ms. Higgins
is a licensed attorney and practiced for nine years in a law
firm specializing in residential and commercial loans and
real estate syndications and finance, including tax exempt
and bond finance. Ms. Higgins holds a BA, Cum Laude/
Phi Beta Kappa, from Princeton University and a J.D. from
the University of Chicago School of Law.
